How will I work with you to get my new water connection?

We’ll work closely together to each complete different tasks. This is because Water Industry legislation dictates what work we can or can’t do on your land and also holds us both responsible to ensure water quality standards are maintained for your health and safety.

How long will my water connection take to complete?

This depends on how quickly you are able to complete your tasks. We can’t make your water connection until you have completed some of your tasks. It also depends on the type of connection you require and the location of your water connection. More information on timescales can be found on this page and in our guide.

Apply

Register for an account or log into our online portal Inflow.
Complete an application for a self lay connection (this should take around 15 minutes).
Make sure you include as much information as possible so that we have a good understanding of your project and timescales.

We'll check your application within 14 days to ensure we've understood your requirements. It's worth remembering that if any information is missing, our timescale re-starts from when you resubmit the information we need.

Verify

Once we have all the information we need we will:

Review the feasibility of your proposed scheme to ensure it meets the long term sustainability of our network.
Issue you with a cost estimate and invitation to pay.
Issue you with a Water Adoption Agreement (this is our contract) which will need to be signed by all relevant parties and returned to us.

Pre-construction

Once you're happy with your survey and cost information you'll need to make payment and return the signed Water Adoption Agreement.

Once payment and the agreement are received we will:

Countersign the Water Adoption Agreement (within 5 days) which makes it legally binding
If you aren't using an approved contractor, we'll arrange for a site visit from one of the team within 5 days
Following the meeting we will contact you to disucss any next steps, answer any questions you have and make sure that you have understood our requirements.

You'll need to submit your Regulation 31 materials list to us at self-lay@anglianwater.co.uk. Pipes must have valid a DWI approval no. Fittings may
have a valid DWI approval no., WRAS or KIWA no.

If you're fitting your own meters you'll need to let us know by completing an SL8 form allowing at least 2 weeks for these to be delivered.

Construction — Meter fit by SLP

You’ll complete and send us an SL3 form, showing your intention to connect.

If you aren’t using an approved contractor we’ll arrange for a site visit from one of our team within 5 days. We’ll be in touch to confirm that the connection can go ahead (within 5 days).

Once the connection has been made you will:

Install meters as agreed and submit your SL4/5 with Water Quality Results, Meter Details and plot to postals within 2 days.
As you are fitting your own meters or meters and end points, please order these using our SL8 form.
Clearly indicate on your SL4/5 form whether you have fitted and paired an end point or if Anglian Water will need to do this.

Where you have not fitted and paired an end point, we will attend to do this
following receipt of your SL4/5 form.

Construction — Meter fit by Anglian Water

Once you’re happy with your survey and cost information, make payment.

If you aren’t using an approved contractor we’ll arrange for a site visit from one of our team within 5 days. We’ll be in touch to confirm that the connection can go ahead (within 5 days).

Once the connection has been made you will:

Complete and send us an SL4/6 form confirming the Water Quality results and plot to postal details within 2 days.

We will attend to fit your meter and end point after you have advised us that the connection

has been made.

Complete!

You'll let us know when a customer moves in so that we can set up their billing account.

We will complete inspections on your site to ensure compliance with Water Regulations.

contact with us, you will receive a text survey and would appreciate your feedback.

send an email listing out what plots payment relates to
