Rivers


  • For high or overflowing rivers call the Environment Agency on 0800 80 70 60. You can also see a detailed view of the current flooding alerts on the Environment Agency’s dedicated flooding webpage.​
  • For any small river, stream or ditch flooding please speak to your local flood authority or council. Here are all the contact details.

  • Contact the National Highways for any major road flooding, like motorways and dual carriageways. ​
  • Get in touch with your lead local flooding authority or council about any minor road flooding or blocked ditches. Find your local council here. ​
  • If you can see that a burst pipe has caused flooding, please report it to us online here or call our 24/7 support line on 03457 145 145.
